The wood blewit is one of the few truly purple mushrooms -- and one of the more unusual finds at a specialist market stall. Shot in studio to let that colour speak clearly, this image explores the cap and stem in careful light. Part of a series studying the fascinating shapes, colours, and textures of fungi.
